ABULAR
Alumina

HITO® tabular alumina is an excellent sintered pure alpha alumina material. Using temperatures above 1,900 degrees Celsius and without the use of sintering additives, a fully densified, high-purity product is obtained through a rapid sintering process.

HITO® tabular alumina is characterized by large, well-developed, hexagonal tablet-shaped alpha alumina crystals up to 200 μm in length. It has extremely high refractoriness, high mechanical strength, high abrasion resistance, very good chemical purity, excellent dielectric properties, and very good resistance to acid and alkali corrosion.

HITO® tabular alumina is used in a wide variety of industries, including steel, foundry, petrochemical, ceramics, and incineration. Other common applications include electrical insulation, furnace fittings, etc.

Tabular alumina is primarily used in the refractory materials industry (monolithic and castable materials) due to its excellent properties, as well as its stable chemical properties, good thermal shock resistance, good erosion resistance, and high mechanical strength.
